Papillons Plate 5 — E A Seguy, framed
E. A. Séguy's Papillons Plate 5 from Papillons, taken from Wikimedia Commons CC0 archive scan, framed and ready to hang.
Plate 5 from Papillons, another butterfly composition — moths and butterflies arranged in Séguy's signature Art Deco grid. The wings overlap slightly, creating rhythm across the page. Séguy understood that illustration could be both accurate and decorative; the butterflies' anatomies are correct, but they're organized for visual pleasure rather than taxonomic clarity. The page is a pattern first, a reference second.
