Starry Night — Van Gogh, framed
Vincent van Gogh's 1889 masterpiece, taken from MoMA's CC0 high-resolution scan, framed and ready to hang.
Painted at the Saint-Rémy asylum in June 1889, The Starry Night is van Gogh's vision of the night sky from the window of his room — though the village beneath is invented, and the swirling sky is part dream, part Provençal air. It's the most-reproduced painting in modern art for a reason: the surface is alive in a way no print can fully match, but a careful giclée gets close.
This is reproduced from the Museum of Modern Art's open-access scan at full resolution, printed on archival fine art paper and framed in solid wood.
